The next step in the LCK is relative clauses. As is my new habit, I’ll put all the grammar stuff behind the cut, so you can easily skip it.

Relative clauses apparently use transformational grammar. I think the best way o do this is by trying and failing until it seem right.

I need a sentence to work with, I think I’ll try to say ‘the man that my father helped killed the cow’. That becomes ‘the man [my father helped him] killed the cow’. Or in proto-FE:

þed nen te tirĥ [þed lên te oþa oĥ þam kôn] te anar.

Now, for the relativisation. Going by the way it’s done in English, and in my own language, the personal pronoun “kôn” should be replaced with the pronoun “neþ”, which basically means ‘that’.

þed nen te tirĥ [þed lên te oþa oĥ þam neþ] te anar.

And then, move that a bit. I don’t want this to be exactly like English, the verb should always stand first, so it’s moved ahead of the subject.

þed nen te tirĥ þed lên neþ te oþa oĥ þam te anar.

past kill the man past help that the father of me the cow.

Yeah, I think it works. And if not, meh, I’ll change it later.
